Baby First Aid Courses for Parents & Carers
We run several baby & child first aid courses for parents and carers every every month in various locations across the Wirral. We run weekday and weekend courses that are great value for money, and we can even come to your playgroup, nursery or home to deliver bespoke courses that suit you. We like to keep class sizes small so there will never be any more than 12 people on one of our regular courses, ten on one of our baby friendly courses or eight on our child friendly courses.
Who Should Attend?
Parents, new parents, expectant parents, grandparents and anyone who looks after and cares for children aged 0-12 years.
Please Note: Our courses train you in providing first aid to babies and children and require concentration and your full attention. We have some courses where you can bring pre-crawling babies and other sessions where you can bring young children along too, as we have adapted these to make them work well. It is not possible to bring babies and children along to our regular sessions as some people like the option to learn child free.
What Subjects are Covered?
1. Choking in babies (0-1) and children (1-puberty)
2. Unconsciousness - Recovery Positions in babies (0-1) and children (1-puberty)
3. Basic Life Support (BLS or CPR) for babies (0-1) and children (1-puberty)
4. Burns
5. Head Injuries and bumps
The above are the core areas covered on our parent and carer first aid courses, however you should feel free to ask us to cover any further areas that are of particular concern. Whether that is asthma, allergic reactions, or anything else, we'd be happy to cover those during the course.
How Much Does it Cost?
£25 per adult.
If you book 2 or more guests onto a course you receive a free baby and child first aid handbook.

The course itself will run for no longer than two hours.

Most of our chosen venues are fully accessible. If you have any specific access or learning requirements/concerns, please let us know in advance and we'll make all the provisions we can to ensure your training is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
